DJ Andy Smith & Nick Halkes drop 80s boogie, disco and disco house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as ‘Paradise Garage’ & ‘Studio 54’. A night highlighting the sounds that emerged as the 70’s turned into the 80’s and the DNA of club music as we know it today was being written.

DJ Andy Smith - DJ Andy Smith is best known for releasing the first ever major label multi genre mix CD, The Document (FFRR/London records) and for supplying samples and warming up for Bristol based band Portishead during the 90’s. He has gone on to release many more DJ mix CD’s on various labels and holds down weekly DJ residencies in London as well as touring the globe in his own right.
Nick Halkes aka Nick Reach Up - from founding XL recordings and signing the Prodigy, via running Positiva , all the way through to getting ‘in the mix’ on Mistajams Radio One show and providing a 'self certified 'tune for him in 2020 and topping the club chart with his Hideaway remix, Nick has played a consistently dynamic role in the global evolution of dance music. Nick currently also presents the chart topping Trailblazers-electronic pioneers podcast .Catching Nick at Reach up is a chance to hear him play the tunes that inspired him to make this amazing journey in music.
‘Reach UP – Disco Wonderland’ have played sets at festivals such as Lovebox & Bestival, and have hosted the back room at the Legendary Space in Ibiza on several occasions. They can currently be found every second Saturday of the month at The Bussey Building in Peckham as part of their ‘South London Soul Train night.
The ‘Reach UP – Disco Wonderland’ radio show can be found monthly on award winning radio staion Soho Radio.
